U.S. fines TransUnion, Equifax for deceit over credit scores

U.S. regulators on Tuesday purchased credit reporting companies TransUnion and Equifax Inc to pay over .2 million in fines and restitution for deceiving customers about the usefulness and value of credit ratings they purchased.
